Can We Boomer the Sooners?     Last week, Auburn suffered a disappointing loss at home to the Arkansas Razorbacks by a score of 24-14. It was yet another game this season riddled with turnovers, 5 to be exact. I was excited to see Hank Brown in an SEC game and was so hopeful that he would succeed, but after throwing 3 interceptions in the first half, the second half saw Payton Thorne taking the field. It seemed to me like the turnover bug just kept Auburn from gaining any momentum in this game. We saw a promising opening drive get halted by an tipped interception, and a would-be touchdown run by Damari Alston get turned into a fumble recovery by Arkansas in the endzone.            It seems as though the dreaded turnover is the only thing holding Auburn back.   Hunting Hogs with Hank     In week 4 of  college football, the Auburn Tigers take on the Arkansas Razorbacks. Both teams are 2-1 on the season and looking to have a strong start to SEC play. The game airs at 2:30pm on ESPN and the fans are asked to wear orange, blue, or white depending on where they are sitting in an effort to power stripe the stadium.     Last week, Auburn took on the New Mexico Lobos in a game in which redshirt freshman quarterback Hank Brown got his first start of his college career. I loved what I saw from Hank Brown in his first start. He went 17/25 passing and threw for 235 yards against a defense that I understand is one of the worst in college football, but that's not all I saw that I liked. In the game against New Mexico, I saw a quarterback that stood in the pocket and went through his progressions until he found an open receiver. Lobos After A Low Blow     Well folks, week 3 of college football is upon us and this week the Auburn Tigers take on the New Mexico Lobos, a first-time matchup as the two teams have never played each other before. This is homecoming week for the Tigers and fans are asked to wear navy.     This season, the Lobos have a familiar face at quarterback with sophomore Devon Dampier returning for his second year with the program. Last season, Dampier posted a 62.5% completion percentage and 525 passing yards. Dampier also showed himself to be a bit of a dual threat last season with 328 rushing yards on 59 attempts. In their loss to Arizona last week, Dampier went 24/42 passing with 260 yards, and also ran the ball 15 times for 130 yards. At running back, the Lobos feature Iowa State transfer Eli Sanders who ran the ball 102 times for 477 yards last season for the cyclones. In the game last week, Sanders received the majority of the carries with 16, but only mustered 29 yards...

  Watch For Bears!      In week 2 of college football, the Auburn Tigers take on the California Golden Bears. Last season, this matchup was a bit of a defensive slugfest with Auburn gaining the advantage late in the 4th quarter and ultimately coming away with a 14-10 victory in Berkeley.            This season, the Auburn offense returns starting quarterback Payton Thorne who threw for 1,755 yards and 16 touchdowns last season, and running back Jarquez Hunter who ran for 909 yards last season and averaged 5.7 yards per carry. New for this season, Auburn has brought in a group of freshman wide receivers known as the "Freeze Four" made up of Cam Coleman, Perry Thompson, Bryce Cain, and Malcolm Simmons.
